This is Love Hurts. Mark Lamb is a storyteller and dancer living in New York City. Mark talks with me about growing up in rural Kentucky in the 70s and suspecting he was gay from an early age. His journey to finding out who he was and what that identity meant was almost fully shaped by his experiences with pop culture, since it wasn’t something he felt like he could talk to anyone about at the time.

This is Love Hurts. Jolenta Greenberg is a comedian and podcaster living in Brooklyn. Jolenta comes on the show to talk doomed hookups — specifically the story of hooking up with her coworker one night even though she knew it was a bad idea. The hookup continues for months, and even though it seems like the universe is telling her to stop, she can’t bring herself to end things.

Jolenta is the co-host of a very fun podcast called By The Book. Each episode involves her and Kristen Meinzer living by a different self help book for two weeks and reporting back on their experiences.
